Fun Summer Activities for the Whole Pet Family

Here at SPC, we believe that summer can still be fun, even years after our grade school and high school days!

Remember counting down to summer break when you were a kid? Summer was always the highlight of the year––the time we get to forget about homework and enjoy time with our families. Here at SPC, we believe that summer can still be fun, even years after our grade school and high school days. As pet parents, we argue that it’s even more fun since we have our pets tagging along with us! 

Here are a few ways you can make this summer memorable for you and your pets! 

1. Trip to the beach 

Do you have a dog that loves getting in the water? Going to a dog-friendly beach could be the perfect summer getaway for you two! 

2. Eat out with your pet 

There are plenty of pet-friendly restaurants around the Philippines––and some even offer special pet menus and treats. If you want to try something new too, try taking out your pet for a picnic! Find a nice shady area outdoors, gather your pet’s favorite treats, and enjoy a relaxing summer feast! 

3. Set up a playdate 

Have friends that are fellow pet parents too? Invite them over this summer for a pet playdate! To add even more fun, you can hold your pets’ playdate at one of SM’s Paw Parks! With wide play areas and obstacle courses, Paw Parks are the perfect venue for fun and much-needed exercise. 

4. Take pet portraits 
   

With more time outdoors, this summer could also be a great time to take some photos of your pets! For our extra artsy pet parents, you can also try painting or drawing your dog or cat.

 

5. Make frozen pup-sicles 

Did you know that some stores sell ice cream for dogs? Check out your nearest Pet Express branch and they might have a selection of popsicles, ice cream, and other frozen treats! For the pet parents that love to be in the kitchen, you can also try making your own! Schedule a popsicle making day and assign your dog as your personal taste-tester.
